Centre of the city near the Cathedral and the old part of town. The hotel is a five minute walk from the tram station "Rudolfplatz" from where the lines 1 and 2 go directly to the fair ground. The journey takes about fifteen minutes. It is also located in the lively Belgian quarter with lots of restaurants, pubs, clubs and shops around.Decorated in bold colours (dark blue carpets with white motifs and light, pale walls) with stark angular wooden fixtures. Some rooms are more gently decorated in lush pale blues with blue wooden fixtures. Rooms and bathrooms are reasonably sized.The breakfast room is very modern with high backed black chairs, white walls and dark blue carpet. There is a feature skylight above the buffet table which creates a nice focal point. The restaurant bar is on two levels separated by an iron spiral staircase.The hotel is made of three separate buildings. The main building has a white modern concrete facade except for the ground floor which is of red brick with attractive window frames.Large in size. Very attractive public area, has a splendid beamed ceiling in different colored wood and a large Persian style carpet.This is a little, friendly family style hotel, located in one of the best areas of Cologne. Several highly recommended restaurants and local pubs are within the neighborhood.0708 hm
